Origin of our name

We’ve always been interested and involved in unorthodox art and culture. In 2022, sk1n and I were up late reminiscing on archived runway videos from various designers. It was during this time that we were also trying to come up with a name that would fit the brand’s image. We stumbled across footage from Raf Simons’ Autumn / Winter 2001-2002 showcase titled “RIOT! RIOT! RIOT! and it instantly stuck.

We wanted to incorporate themes reminiscent of the 90’s punk scene into the project’s aesthetic. The idea of innovation through creation is an important part of the RIOT! ethos. The video embodied this perfectly and we ran with it. The video was originally supposed to be the background of the website, but was later scrapped during the design process.
